News flash: InterAction acquires Scout Solutions

InterAction, the company that makes InterFace CRM software, has acquired Scout Solutions, Inc., the company that makes Aptus, a Web-based CRM application for professional services firms, especially law firms.

Interface Software is the leading provider of CRM software and services -- with a 68% market share in law firms -- enabling professional services firms and other relationship-based organizations to create the Relationship Intelligence they need to uncover new business opportunities and enhance client service.

Scout Solutions released Aptus in 2000, so it was somewhat the 'new' kid on the block in terms of CRM in law firms. Interface was their biggest competitor. Some of Scout clients include firms like McGuireWoods, Alston & Bird, Finnegan Henderson in DC; Wiley Rein & Fielding in DC; ShawPittman in DC; Sullivan & Cromwell in NY.

Founded in 1999, Scout Solutions, Inc. was a privately held software development firm. From its headquarters in Gaithersburg, MD, and supporting office outside of Philadelphia, PA, Scout serves clients across the country and in Canada.
