Overly aggressive spam filters
It's getting really difficult to send an e-mail these days. I just invited a number of friends to come to the launch of the San Francisco Chapter. We're having a Kickoff Networking & Cocktail Event on August 24 at the trendy Town Hall Restaurant.
One message bounced message back saying, "The following message sent by this account has violated system policy." Here's why:

Subject: San Francisco Kickoff Networking & Cocktail Event
Matching Subject: * cock*
Obviously their content filter had picked a fragment of the word "cocktail," interpreted it as a porno word and deleted my message as spam. Mind you, the email went to a person I know and it was a legitimate email. This overly-aggressive filtering has gotten out of hand.
It's gotten to the point that professional firm marketers have to know all the tricks that the spammers do to get around firm and corporate filters.
