On the Road Again
I'm in Day Five of a 1,875 drive from Tucson, Arizona -- my winter office -- back to the green, green grass of Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
Our little Subaru hatchback is crammed with our preternaturally intelligent African Gray parrot Ellis (on the cupholder), Chubber the cat (on the seat divider), our Greenwing Macaw parrot Harry (peering through the carrier in back) and my lovely wife Dorian (not shown). The parrots are good travelers and the cat leaves them alone. The cat does not want to mess with hookbill birds that talk.
I love this country: it has pet-friendly hotels with high-speed Internet access. That's where this marketing consultant and menagerie will be staying, so feel free to email me at Lbodine@LawMarketing.com.
We won't get lost because we'll be using Microsoft's Streets and Trips with a GPS tracker. It draws a line for your route (see right) and depicts a little auto, showing you live precisely where you are. (I'll do anything to get my laptop into the car.)
The office desktop computer, printer, phone, fax, scanner and monitor are on their way via UPS. Thanks to all the thumb drives I collected at ABA Techshow I have backed up all my work in progress. God willing, everything will be back up and running next Monday.
